and that is how many fish you feed it

then look at he chart and whatever number oyu roll..

you add that part of the snowman

Zacchaeus

we began Jesus time by playing a game...

I gave everyone 5 coins

to start with....

I was Zacchaeus and came to each

person "house"/spot collecting their "tax"

money

BUT 

Zacchaeus wasn't honest

He would take different amounts of money from

different people and also KEEP

some of the money for himself

To better show that to the children

I asked everyone for different amounts of money...

Some friends I took 2

some 3

some only 1 and even sometimes ALL 5!!

The children quickly began to say

that isn't fair...

and I agreed

And we talked about how the people

back then probably felt the same way and it is way

they didn't like Zacchaeus

after I collected ALL the "taxes"

I showed the children the BIG pile

of money Zacchaeus had collected 

for himself!!

When then talked about how JESUS

loves us ALL the time no matter what!!

He even LOVED Zacchaeus and chose to

go to his house and eat!! The people didn't understand how 

Jesus could choose 

to eat with someone so dishonest.

But Jesus wants us to know HE is always

there for us

Always Loves us

and will always forgive us!!!

After Jesus showed mercy on

Zacchaeus, he changed his ways..

gave back all the money he stole and

followed Jesus!

When we cleaned out the storage area before

Christmas, we found these babies and decided

the children would enjoy them on the playground

Ella was challenging each of us

to lift this bucket...

It took all 4 of us!!

Simon chose a book from the collection he

is letting us borrow

we learned about

we thought of a few more Q words today

Then we practiced making

a few curve letters in shaving cream

I suggested to the 

class....

Start with letter C

then turn the C into an O

then add a little line and now you have a Q

Then some practiced the

S

Shaving Cream is so fun!!

In addition to a fun way to practice letters

it is 

also a great "workout" for

little fingers...

rubbing the shaving cream across

the table until it disappears...

hard BUT FUN work

We divided into 3 groups

One group played with the

igloos

made it "snowy"

trying on the snowshoes

Little hard to walk in..

One group worked

with me on their invitations

and the last group did

second steps with Mrs Koenen

where they talked about feelings...

after each group did

everyhing

they could chose where they wantd to play..

Abidaan, Emmy and Dominic

are coloring another arctic animal

to add to our room
