time to say HI to one of

her brothers but the PE teacher

 called them to line up

we looked at the cover

of today's story

and decided if it was going to be a

PRETEND (fiction)

or true story

(non fiction)

Most of the children agreed the

story was going to be

FICTION...

animals don't go to school

and there isn't a real

zebracorn..were a few

reasons the children said this story was pretend

Charlie was weather helper

Charlie chose rainbow

(I encourage the children to choose what the weather actually is....

sometimes they want to choose snow and it

is sunny out--- I just want them to think about what

the weather was like when we we outside)

Rainbow is also a fun choice and I tell the

children they can choose that whenever they want

and it is for having a happy day

Hand Writing Without Tears (HWT)

I introduced these 2 wooden lines

BIG Line

Little Line

we will do a lot with lines

over the next several months

and I will use the terms

BIG line and

Little line when describing how to form

certain letters.....

On Monday/ or Tuesdays( I will alternate so

more friends will have a chance to experience

Mystery Bag)

I have pictures of items

that start with our 

MYSTERY LETTER

I ask the children to keep the word in

their mouth

until ALL the children have seen

the picture......

so sweet watching them "keep"

the word in their mouths

Dramatic play is a favorite

and we decided to try it with only 4 people

at a time.....

last week it got so crowded

some friends were bringing all the things out

to have room to play.....

The block area has cool ramps, tubes

and wooden balls.....

I also had the children draw

self portraits

I told the children they can choose 

whatever color paper they wanted to draw

their self portraits

This friend decided to

match the one he thought was the same

as him
