Happy Wednesday
M ORNING WORK:
I found this book and I know how
much some of our friends enjoy trucks!!!
So I left it our for morning
work
Lots of friends chose
to color
Cameron worked on this game
for awhile
Many friends trying the
Jacks
Nora asked Mrs Koenen to help
her with the lacing/sewing cards
MORNING MEETING
Jemma was our attendance helper
14 friends at school
1 friend NOT at school
Charlie was our invocation helper
If you have want to find pretty
decent bible stories on YouTube
Look up Saddleback Kids
They are the ones I find to be most accurate,
engaging and age appropriate
Story of Lazarus
Next we talked about PLANTING
I asked the kids what they want to know
and or what they already know about planting
Next I looked up information about planting
peeper seeds. Charlie had brought some from the
pepper his family had recently ate!
One site said, to dry the seeds completely for a week
before planting and one site said you can plant immediately!!!
So since we are super curious
scientist, we planted 1/2 the seeds today and will
plant the other 1/2 next weds.
We will see what happens....
one thing though...it is a warm weather plant
and needs warmer temperatures
Next we went to Mrs
Stanglein's and practiced
our song!
Then Chapel
Mrs Mudd, a full day preschool teacher,
led us today
Charlie was our offering helper
Story Time
Cameron was weather helper
Graphing our weather
Yesterday we started a new component to weather....
I made a graph and after the weather helper choosing what he/she
thinks they weather is and puts it on our chart, he/she will mark it
on the graph too!!!
Then we talk about which line is the
longest/shortest/more/less
Hannah was our prayer leader
Colton was snack manager
Snack
Nathaniel was our teacher assistant
Then we learned Mat Man
https://youtu.be/zcGs7__1XFs
You can go to this link above
to hear the song!!
This is great for teaching body awareness,
listening,
sequencing and encourage drawing skills
After we listened to the song the 1st time
The children each got a piece to
add and had to listen
for their part...
(Addie placed the 1st ear, but moved faster
than I could get the picture)
Then we had center time
and I also called children over to
draw a self-portrait or Mat Man
(their choose)
I love to see how many added more
body parts after doing
Mat Man(I will post on SeeSaw)
Colton working so hard on
how to draw a hand. He wanted it to be just right so he
traced his own hand but realized it was too big for the rest of the
body he drew!
I love watching children learn and figure things out
on their own.
Many of the children were trying to
figure out how to draw hands!
A few friends moved all the babies
and food stuff to our brown carpet
and also enjoyed looking at pictures
of their families
Hazel wanted me to take a picture
of her drawing. She made another Mat Man
one she could take home today!
Well some of you may have had
your child come home with tape...
the idea of ninja's
came up and became
something a lot of
friends wanted.....
I was cleaning an area and Carson
came over and said,
"Let me help you!"
So sweet!
I told him to make sure
he puts his name on the
Kindness Chart
Matthew was our
superintendent
Addie was our
Yoga Instructor
Nora was our
Exercise Leader
