Morning Meeting
Claire was our
attendance helper
4 friends NOT at school 😢😢😢
11 friends AT school
SO we have a green bumpy circle
chair that some friends like to use
Today one friend had it and another friend really
wanted....... so I said I do have other circles if
you want to use that
and of course as you would
guess everyone wanted a circle......
And Addie was so kind and
gave the green bumpy chair
to Cameron who really wanted!!
Addie got to put her name on the kindness
chart for giving up the green bumpy chair to help a
friend!
Charlie was invocation leader
and devotion helper
Then we did SECOND STEPS
Expressing/Naming our feelings
Rosetta(our puppets) acting out a few
situations and the children got
to tell me how they thought
she was feeling
For example:
Rosetta was walking down the street and her
neighbors dog jumped on a the fence and
was barking loudly !!!
Everyone thought she would feel SCARED
Another example:
Rosetta was walking down the street and her neighbor
was outside with their dog who
was petting their dog. The dog was happy and excited to see
Rosetta!
Everyone thought she would feel
Happy
Then we talked about learning how
to tell what our own body is feeling and being able to
tell someone else how you feel.
If others know how you feel they can help you!
Of course it was rainy at outside
time SO we played in the commons!
STORY TIME:
Today I did a listening activity with the
children. I told them I was going to read a book
but NOT show them the pictures!! I wanted them to listen
and try to figure out what kind of animal the story was about.
Also to use their imaginations, to picture in their minds what the
pictures in the book might look like.
Then at the end everyone got to guess what
animal they thought it was.
Then I showed the picture and reread the story.
It was A LOT of fun!!
This was the story
But this is all the children saw.....
Addie was our weather helper
She chose cold
and marked it on our graph
Hannah was our prayer leader
Colton doing his favorite job
Snack Manager
SNACK
Nora was our teacher assistant
Next I showed the children who were not
here yesterday our pepper seeds.
I told them how Charlie brought in seeds
from a peeper his family had eaten and we wanted to see if it would grow.
Different information said different thins
One said plant right away another said let dry for a week.
So we are letting 1/2 the seeds dry for 1 week and the other 1/2
we planted right away! Another negative might be ... peppers are
hot weather plants and it may still be too cool!
Charlie got to have his turn to water early
We did Mat Man again today!!!
Such a fun song!
https://youtu.be/zcGs7__1XFs
You can listen to it on
YouTube
Each child got to help us
put Mat Man together after we listened to it
one time
Then those who were not here yesterday got to draw
their self portraits (or Mat Man)
watering our peppers......
