Zipper Club sign is made and
you'll notice by the end of today quite a few
names went up!

Morning Work Time

Thank you to Brody's family for the donation
of cards and envelopes

The children really enjoyed them!!!

We had a different kind of day...
Started with a story for Second Steps Time...

I read a story about Kindness...

Love is Kind

I started by asking the children if they thought
this book was fiction
or non fiction.......

A little tricky.....

Of course it is fiction (because animals don't talk)
BUT as one child said
"Love isn't FICTION!!!"

Exactly what I was going to say..

Way to go Roselee!!!

We read the story about kindness and then
each child got a kindness sticker card
to bring home to remind them to be kind to others

Practicing Z's in
shaving cream

Lots of fun and some
of the children made other letters
as well as writing their names
in the shaving cream

The children were SO proud of themselves
when they were able to make a Z

Eddie really enjoys playing
in the shaving cream

Sabrina's name is a little long
for the amount of shaving cream she
has but she is getting it to work

Trente excited he made a 2!

And a Z

Brody got his Z

Evie wrote Evelyn

Roselee was making other letters too

Trente also wrote his name

Colton

Travis

Charlie was really excited and
proud of his Z

Eddie being Called to Care
He really enjoyed helping ALL
his friends rub the shaving cream until it
goes away...

takes a little bit of work
but he happily helped others

Instead of going outside.......

Mrs Stanglein and I talked to our classes about
something new we wanted to try...

we OPENED our doors between our rooms
and encourage the children to explore both
classrooms... free to go back and forth as they choose

It was so much fun!!!
some children choose to stay in our own room
the whole time but others stayed in
Mrs Stanglein's room the entire time

So many new things to explore

This vacuum was a HUGE hit

A new writing center

New friends to play with in our own room too

Hannah and Carly

Charlie LOVES Cutting
Mrs Stanglein helping
Charlie with his grasp

Now he is ready to go....
he did a lot of hard work
especially since it was cutting cardboard
He told me he was making an obstacle course

Eddie working hard on his creation

These girls were dancing......
Kenzie was practicing her dance moves and asked
Sabrina to dance with her....
she said she didn't know how and Kenzie
said she would show her....
Very Sweet!
They danced together for a few songs!!

This open classroom time was so successful
we spent about 1 hour exploring....

It instilled so many different things....

It helped the children gain confidence

adapt to new situation (within the safety
of teachers they knew nearby)

build new relationships

freedom to make choices

Charlie was librarian

Prayer time!!!

SO SWEET!

Eddie was snack manager

For Jesus Time

I reminded the children about the tabernacles
and then told them we were going to go
on a scavenger hunt through
our church.
We talked about some of the differences
of our church ( or churches of today) and the tabernacles from
so long ago

Before we went to the church we put our coats on
and did LOTS of practicing Zipping!!!

It was so great to see the children
encouraging each other
and so happy for each other if
they were able to zip completely on their own!!!

This is SO motivating and such a HUGE step
of independence for a preschooler!

We walked through the school to get
 over to the church..

A LONG WALK

We made it to the church.....

Getting our clipboards and scavenger
hunt sheets....

The children were so excited to
explore the church

One of the last things on the
scavenger hunt checklist
was Pastor Rouland...

And we found him!!!

And on the way back..
Trente found one of his sisters... Emma!

We had such a fun BUSY day!!!
