Jesus Time: Today we heard the story about a boy named David who was a shepherd |
I gave each child a cotton ball( sheep) and then built a pin for the sheep with mega blocks |
We talked about the important job a shepherd has taking care of the sheep |
Each child got to come and put their "sheep" into the sheep pin |
I told the children that sometimes the sheep wander away and might get lost But the shepherd is always their for his sheep no matter what... |
I then told the children we each have a shepherd too Someone who is always there for us no matter what, even when we sin. JESUS is our good shepherd and will always be there for us!! |
We then did Second Steps |
When then shared storied about something each child thinks is really fun and then I asked the kids to do thumbs up or down if the felt the same or different from the friend sharing |
Many friends shared examples of rides they have been on The children did a great job of understanding that people can feel differently about something they really enjoy |
Next we went a sang songs in Mrs. Stanglein's room....... Time to start preparing for our Christmas Service....12-14-19 at 5pm service more details to come |
Then since at this point it was just raining we told he children they could explore between both classrooms... They really loved this and had a great time!! |
THEN the snow came....... so we bundled and had some fun in the snow!! |
It was really blowing hard |
We lasted less then 10 mins... it was really blowing hard in our faces But they are really loved it! |
Travis was the librarian |
Hank was snack manager |
Thank you Carson for bringing fruit!! |
I showed 3 clues... window...something white and water..... and then the children guessed what our new letter is... W |
As soon as the snow started a put a tub outside to collect snow to bring in.. So much fun to have snow in the classroom |
We also had a short time for centers |
Colton was our exercise leader |
