GREAT NEWS

Everyone came to school today!!

Ella volunteered to be 

our  Invocation Leader

Zippy came to school today

Zippy was sad because

his sister got a fancy new dress from his

grandma and he didn't get anything.

He said he didn't feel special!!

But we reminded Zippy that we are all SPECIAL

to God and God knows us of us by name!!

Then I told Zippy this reminded me 

of today's bible story

Before I could even say which one

One of the children said this

will be about Joseph!!!

YES!!!

Joseph was one of Jacob's 12 sons...

He loved Jacob very much and gave him a 

special colorful robe.

This made his brothers feel sad, angry and jealous!

Joseph's brothers made a plan to get rid of him

First they throw him in a well

then they sold him into slavery

(I briefly explain that the king made the slaves do hard work

and kept him in prison-----then one of the children said...

That is like Jesus---the bad men made Jesus do hard stuff and carry a cross)

WOW!!  YES!!! It is like Jesus!!

BUT I told the children the story doesn't

end there !! We will learn more about

what happens later in the week!!

Gloria has a problem...

We talked about how we thought Gloria was feeling

by looking at her face and also

tried to guess what her problem was

Many friend sad she was

sad or worried

Then we decided her problem was she

didn't know how to zipper her jacket.

We then discussed how she should solve 

her problem

Learning to ask for what you need...

Ask politely for help--

either a teacher or a friend

or our parents if we are at home
