loose parts-- nuts, bolts, washers...
all differents sizes--- try to match the screw/bolt
with the correct nut or washer

little hammers, golf tees, styrofoam

and pattern cards...
construction letter cards
and sand

caution signs with numbers

roll the die to cover up

all the numbers

color by letter
construction site

construction magna tiles

Camden was so excited
to put money in our
offering basket

Ella chose the
pattern golf tee game first

we also made a birthday card

for Mr Tyler

he works in the cafeteria(and is Harrison's uncle)
his birthday was when we were off school

The Alphabet
Construction Cards

I put sand in the container
and the children could draw the
(line) letter in the sand

everyone was so busy
with all the new morning work

Harrison was our
attendance helper

we have a few people on vacation...

2 friends NOT here today
10 friends here

Samuel volunteered to be
our invocation leader

JESUS TIME

I forgot to get a picture
but we started with ZIPPY (our puppet)

Zippy was telling the children he
didn't sleep very well last night
because he was nervous about a storm
we reassured Zippy that God is always with him(US)
and even though there are still storms
God means the rain for good--water our trees,
plants, gardens, fields for farmers...etc...

It was a little like our bible story today
The story of Moses...
even though bad things were happening
God had a plan and HIS plan
 worked to keep MOSES
save
I read the story of Moses from our bible

Today's helpers...

many friends volunteered
for a second job today

BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE

Samuel was our
librarian

ALL our friends enjoyed
having a stuffed animal to cuddle with
friends who didn't have one was
totally fine--we had extras in case
they wanted one to cuddle with too

story time

Ella volunteered to be weather helper

Harrison volunteered to
be prayer leader

Maisie was
snack manager

we ALL sat
together at the same table
since we had fewer friends at school today

Lyla was teacher assistant

Mystery Bag

watch
whale
waterfall
web
are our picture clues.....

Need 4 BIG lines to make this letter

many volunteers to make
the letter with the BIG lines...

this is probably one of the harder ones to make
with the lines...

Many knew it was W

but so challenging to
put together....

all so close

NOW we got it!!

we found a note from
Mrs Mudd's class.....

we read it and then answered
her classes questions....
we will make a note to return
tomorrow

CENTER TIME

Camden wanted to color
the W first for center time

many friend went to dress up

then I asked for volunteers to
help clean out the sensory table

we took out ALL the rice and added
BLACK BEANS

with construction trucks

we also brainstormed on
WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW ABOUT CONSTRUCTION
and
WHAT WE WANT TO KNOW.....

Black beans and construction truck
was a popular choice

I also added rocks

Time to also VOTE on the name
of our class pet/stuffed animal

I took the choices of the friends who were
here today...

then they choose the name they liked
the best from what was available today

The results so far..

we will add a few more options from the ideas of the
children who come tomorrow
this is to help narrow down our
MANY options this class came up with.....

everyone will re-vote with hopefully just the top 5
options.....
voting is such a great skill to
learn and I wanted everyone to feel
like their choice got heard but SO hard to get
started voting when
we had close to 22 options
😁😂😁

Maise wanted to color
a W

a few of us walked to give
Mr Tyler his bday card

Harrison was so excited to give his
Uncle Tyler his card
Harrison told us
that sometimes he calls him Tyler and
sometimes it is just TY
and that he lives in the commons
( I know he meant works)
💜💜💜💜
it was VERY SWEET

making a few creations

fun with construction
vehicles

Maisie volunteered to

Ella exercise leader
