Zippy came to school today
Zippy talked about how
hungry he was and that his
cereal bowl was empty
Zippy then told us his mom
was getting him more cereal from the store
our moms and dads take care of us
GOD takes care of us too!!
What kinds of things does GOD provide
so that we can have food
corn for cereal\
cows for milk
animals fo rmeat
are just a few of the ideas the children had...
Then we read
Jesus feeds 5,000
people.... just from
2 fish and 5 loaves of bread
One of Jesus' many miracles!
Today's helpers are....

Rowen was our
librarian
We had a special visitor--
Mr Lohmann
Mr Lohmann is married to one
of our preschool teachers and also works
in the church office.
Pastor Fieberkorn was suppose to come
teach our class about ashes
( to help us be prepared for
Ash Weds), but he is sick...
So Mr Lohmann offered to come to our room...
He talked about
Valentine's Day and LENT are both
coming up
That the word LENT is in
the word vaLENTines...
He told us a little about why
we celebrate ASH Weds and then he gave
those who wanted a turn a chance
to get a little dot
put on their hands....
Not everyone wanted ashes..
and that is ok too...
Then I read a Valentine Book
that Rowen picked out
Winston was weather helper
Charleigh was prayer leader
Abidaan was snack
manager
SNACK
Ben was our teacher assistant
we thought of even more D words...
Tomorrow we will have mystery bag
and start another letter

Building with the magnetic blocks
I brought a few new things
for our dramatic play area
Lots of friends wanted to check it out
so we did 4 at a time...
It was a baby high chair
baby bath tub and a
baby bed...
These 3 girls all wanted a turn in dramatic play
so the signed their name on a piece
of paper and played with the
magnetic blocks while they waited
Samuel chose to cut out a letter
first during center time
Abidaan made a self portrait for his
portfolio
Mrs Koenen worked with a small group
of friends to pass
out their Valentines --
everyone who brought theirs
today, passed them out
The bags the children decorated were each
sitting out and each child walked around the table and put
1 valentine in each bag
I worked with a small group on
an Art/ Language Art
project....
Today we painted with
shaving cream-glue mixture
to make snowmen...
melted snowmen...
we got to name our snowmen today
and later this week, I will ask the
children...
My snowman melted because...
Charleigh, Mack and
Ellie were all showing me
they had babies
in their tummy's
After the children painted their
melted snowman--they got to add
2 eyes, 1 carrot nose, 1 hat and 1 scarf.....
