Morning Work

CURVES

Introducing Curves this week.......

Otto is using plastic curves that snap
together.... some friends discovered they
could make other letters

or even numbers.....

Theses boards with curves we are using BEADS to fill in

the curves.... yesterday we had a hard time getting the

beads back out SO I added tweezers......  Tweezers was a great addition plus

help the children develop fine motor skills and hand eye coordination...

we used our NEW play doh today

we also have magnetic  CURVES!!!

Otto concentrating with using
tweezers

Lucas was very PROUD of the letters he
made... S  and O

Winston came and made a
BIG O

LOTS of play doh friends

Lincoln was concentrating
on what he was making with the
plastic curves!

A few friends decided to
play TIC TAC TOE

Then a few friends went over to the
writing table

Oliver using the tweezers and the
beads

Morning Meeting

Ella's turn to hold
ZEBRA

Lucas was attendance helper

EVERYONE came to school
today!!!!

This is always a HAPPY day!!!

15 friends at school!!

since we have chapel we did
not do JESUS time....

And since it was rainy and wet we didn't
to go outside

SO we had
MUSIC TIME

KindyRock is usually
who I look up videos for......

She does a great job
encouraging playing to a beat
and stoping and starting
when told.....

Part of when we do music also
involves understanding or
learning to understand they you may
NOT get the instrument you really
want and that is OK--- everyone will
get an instrument
This is hard sometimes BUT it is a BIG part
of preschool--- learning to experience
disappointment and then being able to
express it and move on

Today's helpers are.....

CHAPEL...

Mrs Reed, a Kindergarten teacher,
led chapel today...
She taught us the BEST
Christmas present of all is JESUS
and that God wants us to
be a gift to others.. be KIND and
SHINE for others....

Cecilia was SO excited to be
our chapel offering helper today

After chapel we ran around
the commons with Mrs Mudd's class

we had tunnels to crawl
through as well

This was a lot of
fun for the children

Then some of ELP came to the commons
SO as we left a few
friends got to say HI to their
SIBLINGS

Cecilia was our
librarian

Charlotte was weather helper

Mack was prayer leader

Yesterday we started
pouring water into cups for
snack...

I demonstrated for today's friends.....

Foster was snack manager

SNACK
The children are really enjoying
pouring their own water....
This gives the children a sense of autonomy,
builds self confidence and as a BONUS
they are drinking MORE water!!!
Quite a few friends refilled their cups
multiple times

HA!! Crazy Blogger and probably a little bit of user error.....
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

For some reason not all the photos posted and when I went to add them......

The rest of this pictures posted backwards

from the very end of the day until
FINISHING SNACK...

FEEL free to scroll to bottom and work your way back up...

Ellie was line leader and chose
After awhile, Crocodile

Lincoln was our invocation leader
and since we didn't have chapel I asked him to do
the invocation to led us into prayer

Even though our time was SUPER short
I wanted to make sure we still prayed!!
We went around the room and the children either said
A THANK YOU PRAYER
or a HELP ME (or Help someone else) PRAYER

They all wanted to say more than one thing
and it was so hard to tell them
just one thing...

I tried to explain that they could say the prayers in their head
and God would still hear them... BUT most really want
to say them out loud to our class...

This is so sweet and honestly one
of my most favorite parts of our day

Kennedy was
our exercise leader

SIT UPS!

Winston was our YOGA
Instructor

SKI POSE

Ella was our superintendent....

Friends definitely felt like we ran out of time
before they were done..
those that made hockey sticks
today are keeping in their
cubbies to use tomorrow

So much fun was had!!!
It was a PACKED FUN FILLED DAY!!!
Friends waiting for a turn.....

then after our sticks were together
we took lids and played a little
hockey or just passing
the "puck" lid back and forth

so many friends worked and worked

craft sticks and tape!!!!!

The beginnings of
making our own hockey sticks...

dramatic play

Hmmm... making his own ring toss.....
😊😊😊😊

Art Project

CENTER TIME

ICE SKATERS>>>
we had so many friends who wanted to skate BUT I let
the friends who were not here yesterday go first
so they would get a chance to skate today

We are seeing where the interest of
ICE SKATING will go and whether or not
it will turn into a project!!

Brainstorming things
we already know about
ICE and ICE SKATING

After snack we came to the blue carpet
and used the BIG wooden CURVES
and the LITTLE wooden CURVES

Kennedy and Emmy really enjoyed pouring

their own water
