Jesus Time

We talked about

when Jesus' family went on a journey.....

A long journey to go to

 GOD'S house, the Temple....

Luke was our invocation

leader

When then talked about some things we might

need to pack because we were

going to take a journey like Jesus and his family

and friends took.......

whatever thr children thought we should

brig along we added to ou

Ellie thought we might need

a stuffie for our journey

Foster thought a pillow

Arwen thought we would need a snack

Kennedy thought a blanket

Maisie thought water

Oliver thought another bag

Cecilia thought a Bible

Lincoln thought a pair of pants

Charlotte thought shoes

Ella thought a shirt

Mack said socks

Luke said hair brush

Samuel said a radio..... but we settled on

musical instruments...

Emmy said a hamburger

Next we had to get ready for our journey

since the weather is chilly

we bundled up.....

Everyone took turns carrying

the suitcase....

All our items made it

a little heavy...

we talked about how Jesus and his family

had to carry ALL their belongs

a long way

we began our journey....

Everyone got a turn

some friends carried it a short way

and some carried a little bit longer.....

As we journeyed 

we said

O Lord, I love your house....

After we walked and walked we took a break..

we talked about how when Jesus and his family took the journey

it was a long way and they would have to stop...

and sleep/rest, eat along the way

resting....

some friends "slept"

then the "next morning" we continued

on our journey....

we needed another rest  after 

walking a "full day"

more people "slept" this time

The next morning we continued...

Strong muscles to carry the suitcase....

The temple/Church is in our sight!!!

But before we were quite there we needed

 more rest...

we talked about how along the way...

the people may have hunted and fished for food

We made it to 

GOD'S HOUSE

I was hoping a pastor would be there BUT 

they were both out of the office....

But Mrs Koenen

was the "teacher"

and taught the people songs 

Then we left to return home not knowing Jesus (Luke)

was left behind

like what happened a LONG time ago!!

So Mary and Joseph

(Ella and Oliver)

left the temple and began traveling 

back home...

then they realized they had NOT seen Jesus

They asked all their family and

friends No One had seen Jesus

Mary and Joseph rushed back

to the town and found

Jesus...

Sitting with the teachers of the temple...

Mary and Joseph told

Jesus how worried they were...

And Jesus said,

Why were you worried 

I am in my Fathers house!

Jesus knew he was safe because

God was with HIM

Just as He wants us to know that 

God is always with us!!

Then we just ran around a bit

on the blacktop

Ellie was our weather helper

Maisie was the 

prayer leader

Foster was our

snack manager

Pouring our own water

is going very well!!!
