For National Lutheran
Schools Week,
we always do a special art
project and display it
in church to "Kick Off"
National Lutheran Schools Week (NLSW)

A few of us got to make
our artwork  today......

We used syringes filled with
paint......
put a few dots on our canvas
and then used a squeegee
to pull the paint over our canvas

A sneak peak on how
they are turning out
( I put a cross in the middle with
tape and are letting the children
paint right over it)

They look beautiful

Morning meeting
and
Class Pledge

I encouraged friends to chose new jobs today

maybe try something he/she has not done
in awhile...

Carson was attendance

2 friends NOT at school
13 friends AT school

Winston was our invocation leader

I gave Winston the choice to do
invocation on the blue carpet OR
over in the church
because I wanted to show the children something special
in our church..

He chose to led us while on the BLUE carpet

We played outside

Enjoying the nice weather

JESUS TIME

I showed the children the baptismal
font....
Since we have been learning about when Jesus was baptized...

We talked about what happens during a
baptism ...
shared some words the pastor or priest might say....

I showed them the book we use during
baptisms

The children were very interested and LOTS of questions about
their own baptisms came up......

Then we happened to see the pastors
and Pastor Rouland was very
excited to talk to us

He even showed us his own
baptism certificate!!!

He talked about what his certificate says : his name, birthday,
baptism day, parents names and Godparents names and
how it is signed by the Pastor who baptized him

He asked the children to look at their own
baptism certificates and see
who baptized them.... bring it to school or
send a picture of your baptism certificate

A few of these kiddos
might even have been baptized by HIM!!

It was SO COOL!!!

Pastor Rouland also challenged the kids to
find a picture of their own baptism
(if your child has been baptized
and bring it to school)
Pastor Rouland said he would
come all the way to our classroom to see it.

We had such a great time
