Many friends wanting
to color for
morning work time

Mason volunteered to
be our attendance helper

our morning went SO fast by the time we did attendance
and talked about the
earthquake drill we
needed to get outside so we had time to play

OUTSIDE TIME

EARTHQUAKE DRILL

we go under our tables first

then when the shaking stops

we go outside to the
location we evacuate to for a
fire drill.

Everyone did an
EXCELLENT JOB!!!

So hard to understand for(some)
 preschoolers what we
are actually doing but I just try to say we
are doing things to help keep
us safe!

Story Time
I showed the children this book
I asked them if they thought
this story was pretend
or real/true

Everyone said pretend!!

Yes!
Then we talked about why we thought it
was pretend.....
no such thing as a zebracorn and we
don't bring zebras or unicorns (and no one said
this, but of course unicorns are real🤣🤣🤣🤣 )
to school

Then I said when a book is pretend is it called
FICTION

I talked a lot about
pretend stories and TRUE stories
because I want the children to understand
that everything in the BIBLE is true!!!

Lincoln was our librarian
and got to put our book on my desk
after we read it!

Hazel was our weather helper

Carson was sit by the teacher
but also volunteered to be our
Prayer Leader

NICE JOB
Fold your hand
bow your head
and close your eyes
to pray

I told the children I would take a picture
of this prayer so
they could practice at home
tonight!!!

Teddy was our
snack manager

SNACK

Nora was our teacher assistant

Next we used the
BIG LINE
LITTLE LINE

And sang a song

WHERE DO YOU START YOUR LETTERS?

AT THE TOP!!!

Just to reinforce as the children start to write more...
they should always start their letters
at the top

we sang along to the song and then
practiced pointing to the top

Then we traced our fingers along
the big line/little line
starting at the top
to make the letter L
