Happy Weds!

WOW!!!  We have had 1
week of school!!!

Time flies when you are having FUN!!

Morning Work:

Charleigh, Hazel and
Addie all decided to color together

Cecilia picking her
job!

Hayden had a lot of fun
with this stacking game.
A great game for encouraging
children to problem solving

Have to stack the "donuts"as
 Hayden called them from
biggest to smallest!

Lots of friends LOVE
play doh

Luke started with
magnets

Hayden did a great job
stacking the "donuts"
in the correct order

Addie was our
attendance helper

2 friends NOT at school

14 friends AT school

Today we had chapel so
we jumped right to
2nd Steps:

We looked at this card
and talked about how these children were
sitting together in a circle
reading a story.
We talked about ways to show we are ready to
listen by learning a little song today

The children echo and did the actions

Eyes are watching...... point to eyes
Ears are Listening..... point to ears
Voices are quiet... whisper and make the SHHHH sign
Bodies calm... show our calm body

OUTSIDE

Roman and Bria had
fun walking like on a
balance beam

even walking backwards!

Winston found the outdoor
Xylophone

walking to chapel
in the church today

 waiting for chapel
to start
we only had to wait a minute or 2 for everyone to arrive

Mrs Helmkamp, our
director, got chapel started

We practiced standing and sitting
ninja quiet

Mr Debrick, our principal,
led chapel today

He talked about US being CHEERFUL
givers. that it is important to
help others and give to
those who need things....

LIKE A WINTER COAT

Mr Debrick showed us HIS winter coat
and talked about boys and girls who
don't have winter coats!!

Our chapel offerings are
going to go towards buying
winter coats to boys and girls who don't have a
 coat to keep them warm

Hazel was our offering
helper today

Bria and Charleigh
discovered each other today
and enjoyed holding hands
to and from chapel

 all the letters
and call on friends who know the

help us form letters!!!

Many friends wanted to write letters
to friends and family

Using the "old fashion"
phone to call in their food order

So interesting to watch how the
children
"talk" on an old
fashion phone
(rotary phone)

These 2 played trains
the entire
center time

LOTS OF CREATING

squeezing glue
out of these bottle
is excellent way to
build muscles
in those little fingers.
Several kiddos today told
me how "tired" their
hands were and wanted help
getting the glue out!!

I just encourage them to
keep working at it
strong fingers is great when comes time
to start writing

Mason using his strong hands
to cut through this cardboard
We weren't sure it would
work, but he got it
some of the way!
