The writing center was a popular place this morning

Aiden investigation some fall items

leaves and pinecones

SECOND STEPS

I showed lots of different emotion called

asking the boys to identify what they thought

the child in the picture was 

feeling

Then I asked each boy to choose one card and tell me about

a time they felt the way the child on the card was feeling

All the happy, surprised and excited were chosen first

When I asked the boys to chose a second card

and it was just sad, mad, frustrated or worried

they all had a much harder time telling me about a 

time they felt that way

we stopped to run around through the leaves

 before going to our playground

EXERCISE TIME: SQUATS

A few minutes after prayer to play a game.... I found more of the 

flip flop faces bowls... now I can go up to 12...

They love this game.. I have them close their eyes.... I hide a bean bag under

one bowl and then they guess where it is hidden....... then I give them clues..... it is under a bowl smaller or bigger than whatever number they guess

So fun and teaches number recognition and understanding of bigger or smaller
