MORNING WORK
Bristle Blocks
We have a new friend starting school tomorrow, so a few kiddos
wrote notes to him and put the notes in his cubby
Brody was looking at Leo's name tag(our new friend) with
his picture on it and then drew a picture of him(LEO)
Charlie working on a picture for Leo
Ella made Leo a note too!!
Then the kiddos found his cubby and put his notes in there to
surprise him tomorrow
Nora was our invocation leader...... today was chapel so she got to stand up next to the
smart board to led invocation
A few friends putting their offering in our offering cup
Charlie (and his brother) found a milkweed bug at home last night
so he was very excited to share it with our class. They named him COW!
SO when it was time to go outside we met up with Mrs Stanglein's
class, each on our on side(plenty of room in between us) Siblings asked to stand together
Johnny and Charlie holding COW
Liam and his sister,Claire
Johnny and Charlie releasing COW
Bye-Bye, Cow, the milkweed bug!
Then Mrs Stanglein's class went inside and we ran around this BIG
field for a few minutes
Then we came back to our playground
Charlie picking up pumpkins seeds from the ground
I think the kids wanted to grow a pumpkin
Charlie decided he needed water to plant the seeds
so he filled a pot with water from our rock creek
Then they found another pumpkin on the playground.... the kids want to
break it open to see inside
The children are really enjoying the pumpkins
Story Time.... The Little Old Lady who wasn't afraid of anything
Such a cute fun story!
Brody was weather helper
Claire was prayer leader
Nora got to put her name on the helper chart for helping Claire
bring a chair over for chapel
We FaceTimed with Tristin and Teagan
who get to come back to school next week
Luke's job today was sit by the teacher, so the other part of his
job was to point to the letters we have learned so
far and ask friends what they are
Hand Writing without Tears
First we sang the Tap, Tap, Tap song
Then we used the lines to make th eletter X
The boys asked to use the lines to make
mazes
Charlie was feeding his "baby" pizza (a few minutes before he fed her chicken wings
Then he was taking pictures
Then Charlie wanted to take a picture of Mrs Larimore
APPLES ON TOP activity.... I showed the children their name tags
they counted how many letters are in their name
then cut out that many apples
Then they glued the apples on top of their heads
and wrote their names
Great way to reinforce scissors skills and writing their namesWe had a few minutes after prayer to play the hidden beanbag game
It was hidden under 5, the first friend chose number 1
so my clue was it is in a bowl higher(or bigger than) number 1
Then someone chose 6..... so my clue was it is under a bowl smaller than the number 6
took a few more guesses to get to 5, but such a fun great way to reinforce numbers
and understanding bigger and smaller
2 more friends added their names to the KINDNESS CHART
for helping me clean up the game without me asking.... so KIND!
