HAPPY MONDAY!!!

So happy to be back from
Thanksgiving break!

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas

in our classroom

Lots of new morning work activities
Winter Village

mini tree to decorate

a nativity

a counting Christmas tree game

Morning Meeting
we first counted how many friends came to school
today
then we went around the circle and talked about break and

what kind of food we ate on Thanksgiving Day

I asked the children if
they knew what Advent meant and why
we celebrate it
I also showed the children our Advent Wreath
Advent is the season of preparing......
preparing for the birth of Jesus

We bundled up and went outside

we discovered lots of ICE!

Teagan and I were running in place to stay warm
Then one of the boys suggested hanging out in the tunnel

to stay warm!

so FUN discovering all the icy patches!!
We lasted outside longer than I thought
about 15-20 mins.

STORY TIME

I thought this was the perfect book

since we all had frozen noses today

Claire was weather helper
Aiden was prayer leader
Carly was our snack manager
SNACK TIME

Carly also did the teacher assistant job...she did a great

job pointing to the letters and calling on friends!

Mystery Letter Monday!!

A classroom favorite!
The pictures were nose, nurse and nest

A few friends kept suggestion words
that actually start with K
(Knock. Know, Knife....
very tricky)

CENTER TIME:

So many friends were SO excited to
 decorate the tree!!!

We have Christmas Cards in the writing center

Magnetic Stuff is FUN!!

Jingle Bells work perfectly!

Practicing writing our names.... some of our 5 year old are ready to

start first and last with lower case letters!

Also we looked in mirrors and drew our self portraits

Our lights are looking SO pretty!

Exercise Time
Running in place

 YOGA Time

Teagan chose Downward Dog Pose

Really great job!!!
