Then we talked about sin.... the children came up with ideas of what might be a sin..... |
Then Mrs Stanglein drew a cross drew a cross through all the sins She told us Jesus died for us and because of Jesus our sins are washed away..... And she washed away all the sins written on her plate |
We then talked to the children about Lent and Ash Weds. We let the children feel a mix (made from soap) to give them an idea of what the ashes will feel like tomorrow |
Some wanted to touch it Others did NOT.. either was OK... It can be a little scary getting Ashes tomorrow so we are just trying to prepare the children |

I showed the children a picture of our survey... we asked many teachers which mailbox looks the most like theirs... |
Then I showed the children how to do Tally Marks..... I divided the children into 3 small groups 1 group got to stay on blue carpet and build blocks and trains |
One group got to paint |
And the other group got to do the survey We spent about 7 mins in each group so everyone got to do each station |

We visited the other side of our building and surveyed the ELP teachers |
