Morning Work

Tinker Toys are a lot of fun

These new building blocks
are all straight lines and curves!!!

Fun to build with and make letters

Carly was a little sad to see daddy go
 but within minutes she was all smiles

She spent a lot of time using loose parts
to make swirls, zig zag and cureved
lines!!

These girls were having fun using
a dry erase board

Everyone was very
busy!

Roselee and Trente were excited
to see each other and
chat together

Showing the children the classrooms
new plant light....
even though this room is all windows
the protective film over the windows
doesn't allow natural light to come in...
SO all my plants keep dying...

I was explaining to the children that light
bulbs can be HOT....

then we heard lots of stories
from many children about touching
something hot at home
which then lead to many stories!!

We heard stories about dreams...some bad dreams
some silly dreams.....when then talked about what to do
if you get scared......

This is truly one of my favorite  reasons..... and there are many
reason why I LOVE preschool...... but
it was so enjoyable to sit with the whole class
sharing stories and all the children were
listening to each other... so many things were
being learned just sitting on the carpet
listening skills
turn taking
social skills
patience
language development
just to name a few skills

Then we started Jesus Time

Roselee was our invocation leader

We continued talking about the wisemen

we talked about how they(or their moms and das find
their ways somewhere new..... we use our phones and the map
tells us where to go...
BUT
the wisemen did not have maps, phones or GPS

They had GOD!!!
The wisemen followed a BIG BRIGHT star
that God put in the sky 

The wisemen brought gifts
fit for a king
Gold, Frankincense and  Myrrh 

We also learned a new word
Epiphany
a time we celebrate the wisemen following the star
to find Jesus. They brought him gifts and wanted
to worship him!

We had a great time outside

Ryan and Colbie were pretending the
tires were horses

Center Time

Today art was the most popular center
and we had a sign up sheet
for friends waiting for a turn to
CREATE!

Many were still very excited to
play with the grocery store again
today

left art so a few other friends
could have a turn

push-ups again but I encouraged
