Morning Meeting

A new job...

our entomologist gets to observe
our caterpillars and then report
what is happening

Harrison S was our attendance helper..

EVERYONE came to school today!!!
16 friends here!

Renesmae was our invocation leader

Ms Steinbacher came to visit
She told us the story of
the men walking to Emmaus

She drew a picture
at first it looked just
like a person...then she kept adding parts
and then it became
a DOG
In our story , the men walking to Emmaus
were joined by a man...they didn't know it was Jesus
until they shared a meal with him
THEN their eyes were OPENED and
they could see it was Jesus

then we sang songs
we also got to use
Alleluia shakers

Today's helpers

crates.. one group said it was a stage and the
other group said it was a bridge

Levi was our
teacher assistant

Levi's turn for estimation jar
He added his mini figs

** check your child's folder--I sent home more
estimation jar letters.....

I talked to the children about what it means
to estimate
to make a guess
you don't have to be exactly right
we are just trying to guess what we think
is close
Talked about the size of items in the jar and how big the jar is..
trying to help give clues on how to estimate...

Some are ready for that and some are not
and that is OK.. we also do a lot of
counting during this time so it helps reinforce counting

the outfit and observing the caterpillars...
