Everyone came to school today

Today's story

Mary anoints Jesus

we acted out the story..

We walked to the town of Bethany

where Simon lived...

we are waking

and walking

we arrive and sit down at Simon's house

we take off our shoes

(probably like they did in Jesus' day)

The children were all Jesus

and I was Mary...

I pretend to have expensive

perfume (Aveeno lotion)

and put it on everyone's feet...

they rubbed it in

and then I showed them how Mary

used her hair... to wipe

Jesus' feet

( I only used my own hair on 

the child sitting right next to me)

Everyone thought that was pretty funny

We talked about how what Mary did was a sign

of respect and praise!!

We also talked about how Judas wasn't happy that

Mary "wasted" expensive perfume...

BUT Jesus said

what Mary has done for me was kind,

good and the right thing to do!"

we have zoo keeper dress up clothes...

zoo tickets and a cash

spots for our giraffe

using model magic to make

 our ZOO ANIMALS

and decorating our cages to put them in...

I would say the majority of the class played in

dramatic play today and everyone played with

ZOO ANIMALS in some way today!!

THEY LOVE ANIMALS!!!

I showed Simon his plans from before

break and he decided he was going to change

his animal to a SLUG....
