Here is a clue (picture below)for this
week's bible story......
we took a few guesses at what
the story will be...
Then I told the class we
were going to play a game..
Jesus gathered people to help him spread
GOD's Word -- today GOD wants us spreading
HIS word...
This game helped us learn how fast
we can spread God's word...
I whispered to 2 people a message
GOD LOVES YOU---
then they got to choose 2 people to
share the message with
then those 2 people each got to
choose 2 people...
AND SO FORTH AND SO ON
Until the whole
class----- had heard the message
and it only took a few minutes...
GOD LOVES YOU!!!
The children enjoyed spread
GOD'S word.....
then we read how Jesus
gathered His disciples
to spread GOD'S WORD

SAD TRUMPET..
AKA
A WOMP WOMP
the last 2 days I have shared this with the class..
we talk a lot about feelings...
Sometimes we feel sad, worried, angry
frustrated, disappointed...
ALL those feelings are OK
and it is important how we handle those feelings
we talked about OK ways to express those feeling and yesterday
and today included
holding and using the WOMP WOMP
I told the kids if they are having any of the above feelings
instead of stomping or making angry faces, etc..
they can ask for the WOMP WOMP..
and one of the teachers will hand it to them to use (along with taking a deep
breath to help calm our bodies)
Listening to the sound of the
WOMP WOMP
has brought a smile to everyone's face...
and makes us realize--- we all have BIG feelings--we just
need to express them in safe ways...
Center Time
A few friends helped cut out
rectangles for the
igloo...
other friends went off and chose
a center to play in...
after cutting out rectangles (ice blocks)
friends glued them to the igloo
