Ellie is trying the snowman beads out too
counting and learning
to use a graph...
Samuel told me he made
a snowman family
using glue to build with the sugar cubes
isn't working...
I will do some more research
on ideas for building--- ways to get the sugar
cubes to stick together
But the children are enjoying
just stacking the sugar cubes
with the arctic animals....
Maisie building an igloo
a few friends reading
Samuel busy sorting all the
arctic animals
still building
Camden and Lyla still graphing
ALL FINISHED!
Maisie is all finished with her Igloo
JJ's turn with Little Puppy
The children enjoyed
Camden's mom baptism
picture.....
everyone had a chance to look at it up close..
Ellie was
attendance helper
1 friend NOT at school today
JJ was invocation leader
Before I got started with
Jesus time I asked the children to look at this picture
and tell me what they thought the story was
going to be about......
A few thought it would be
about Joseph and ALL is brothers
I thought that was an excellent guess by looking at the picture..
then many friends shared parts of that story
that they remembered...
I was impressed since that
was in the beginning of the year
Zippy came to help with
Jesus time
Zippy was excited but also a little nervous
He was getting ready to go camping with his family
but while camping they were going to fishing.
He was nervous about fishing because he had never fished before ..
We talked to Zippy about being nervous
and how we all feel that way sometimes...
Also that he won't be alone--his
family will be there with him and to help him
It is a LOT like Jesus
He is always with us
Never leaves us alone
and today's story
talked about some FISHERMEN
Jesus gathered 12 people to
be his Disciples---
to become
FISHERS OF MEN
Spreading the word of GOD
Today's helpers

National Lutheran Schools weeks
presents... then we played in the commons

with the wooden pieces...
A good start of
S words....
SOME more thoughts and ideas
for our party planning
AND BRAINSTORMING
what we already know about the
ARCTIC OR ARCTIC ANIMALS...
What we want to know
Building an igloo for our
class......
we started with some white paper
cut out rectangles
JJ and Jacob still needed to vote
for our party name....
ALL the names with love in it
are the winner
Mrs Cooper's class winning name is
HEART
SO we are going to talk to the classes over next
2 days... vote or maybe
even combine the 2 names together
then we glued our rectangles
on a box.....
LOTS OF WORK
on the IGLOO
Also we did an ALL school art project
EVERY student in our whole school
will color one of these
footprints that says
I WILL WALK WITH JESUS
we used watercolor colored
pencils...
we were super busy
friends could also
play in the centers
Arctic animals and
"snow" for our sensory table
Hanging out in our igloo
Jacob was our

SAD TRUMPET
This cute trumpet makes a
womp womp sound....
we introduced this today
I talked about how we all feel
frustrated or disappointed sometimes...
When we feel this way we might want to stomp or make mean faces...
We tried out the sad trumpet
when you push down on it--it makes
a womp womp sound...
I told the children they can ask for the womp womp if they
ever feel sad, mad, frustrated, disappointed, etc...
It is hard to stay feeling this way when you hear this sound
I then told the children they can then take a few
deep breaths and then move on...
I gave everyone a chance to use
it today..
Until then, Penguin
