We missed you today Samuel
Cecilia led invocation
for us today!!
She remembered ALL
the words from last year
Jesus Time
Jesus says
COME TO ME
We read this story and talked about
how we are all
CHOSEN CHILDREN OF GOD
We are CHOSEN to
be a part of this
SCHOOL FAMILY
All week we have been talking about
ways we can HELP
take care of our SCHOOL FAMILY
The children came up with more ideas
today......
Foster was
our
YOGA INSTRUCTOR
Downward Dog
The jobs your children chose today.....
Ben was a door holder
Emmy was a door holder
Luke was the Line Leader
Oliver was the
Gate Keeper
I brought out colored chalk
Definitely a popular chose
Oliver made this dinosaur
but admittedly-- I don't know
my dinosaur names and already
forgot what he told me
Arwen and Maisie colored
together for a long time
Kennedy made herself
and her sister, Teagan
Mack and Ella
hanging out
walking around the play ground
Arwen, Charlotte and Cecilia
playing together
EARTHQUAKE DRILL TODAY
I asked the children if they knew what an earthquake was
A few did----- and said it is when the
whole world shakes!!!
I pray it is never whole world
BUT
the town or area we
live in might start shaking....
The children were all very interested in this
and then I told them we had
to do something to protect
our heads and bodies
SO WE GOT UNDER THE TABLES.....
we stay under the table until
the shaking stops
THEN we line up
on the stops signs
then leave the classroom
(we did not practice walking outside as
it was so hot and we just came in)
STORY TIME
This was a silly book but
has a good message
of learning how to handle
disappointment
That we don't alway get what we
want and that is OK
you get what you get and don't throw a fit
Charlotte was our
librarian
Lucas the
weather helper
Mack was the prayer leader
Lincoln was our
snack manger
After snack we go to the carpet
for HWT
(Handwriting without Tears)
I start with the ABC song
then our Teacher Assistant
ARWEN
points to the letters
and calls on friends
who raise their hand to tell the
class what letter it is
Then we watched a few short
PODCAST
to give us some ideas of
more L words
Then we added the L words to our chart
CENTER TIME
Since Dramatic Play
was getting an
overwhelming number of friends
who wanted to play here
we put a limited on how many
friends can be there at one time
4 friends at a time
This way there is room and friends have an
opportunity to play with the
items they want
I don't think it will stay this way
it was just too many
for the friends to be able to enjoy
this center
Emmy and Kennedy
enjoy the
manipulative center
trains
Ellie was our
superintendent
Maisie our
exercise leader
ARM CIRCLES
Look at those
ARM CIRCLES
MUSIC
I introduced the
musical instruments
Showed everyone how to
play each one
we also talked
about what our story time
book taught us...
You get what you get and don't throw a fit......
Kindyrock is a great YOUTUBE
video for preschool
musical instruments
SO MUCH FUN!!!
We did it twice
we put all the
instruments back in
the middle and then
got to chose again---
so more friends had an opportunity to
get the instrument
they really wanted
as you can guess
the Xylophone is always the
one everyone
wants!!
PRAY REQUESTS
Luke was our line
leader and chose
To your house, mouse
for our good bye rhyme
