HAPPY FRIDAY!!

I am so happy to be AT school today!!!

I think the kiddos are HAPPY too!!!

Mila was our attendance helper

Today I had an activity planned for 2nd steps that would take a 

little longer.... so we went straight to 2nd Steps

 Cards with different emotions

on them. Each child got to pick a 

card and without letting anyone else

see it.... make the emotion on the card and we

tried to guess the emotion 

Then the children matched the feelings with 

the card that matched

Then Mrs Stanglein's class came in and we practiced singing

Then after we sang...we opened our classrooms

and the children could play between the 2 rooms!!!!

The LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!!

The children love to explore NEW things...

ice skating and new blocks

LOTS of planning and collaborating happening

with this large group of children

They worked it out well!

SNAP SHOT of our job chart.......  Since we had only 7 each 

child got to choose 2 jobs today. I just gave each child a sticky note

with his/her 1st initial on it

I think they enjoyed this... they are always volunteering 

for a 2nd job and then this way we could see

what everyone chose

Hazel was invocation leader

so I asked her to do the invocation

before we prayed

she did a great job!

We had ice, baking soda, vinegar,

table salt and water

I didn't want to give any prompts...

just introduced the materials and LISTENED

to see what kind of

conversations happen.

What the children thought, observed what was

happening, etc.......

Almost everyone spent at least 15 mins doing this....

Mila shared something with Nathaniel

so I asked her to put her name

on the Kindness chart

Nathaniel was a little sad

when it was time to clean up SO Nora suggested I

take a picture of his lego creation So he

could see it and the blog and hopefully

feel better about it being time to clean up!
