Carly really enjoys this SPACE game

we played together a few rounds

Luke chose magnets

Tristan chose this counting game first

Brody joined Luke at magnets

Games are such a great way to teach

so many different skills

from turn taking to counting

Then a few children noticed I put

something new up

Next week we will measure and graph

Second Steps

We looked at this picture

I had the children describe to me what they saw

I was super proud

of how well they did

describing what was happening

in the picture

Olivia(the little girl hopping on 1 foot)

is having a hard time waiting

As she is waiting she is hopping around

and accidentally bumps into friends

We then talked about ways to calm our bodies

Some thoughts were yoga and belly breaths

The weather looked VERY IFFY

so I decided we would just go to our side yard

which was probably the right choice

As soon as we got outside IT STARTED RAINING!!

Some of the kiddos didn't mind

so I encourage them to just RUN!!

Some wanting to just stay inside(with Mrs Larimore)

we ran for about 5 mins

Next we looked at pictures I found on PINTEREST 

to spark ideas!! And boy did it ever SPARK ideas!!!

The kids are so excited to make rocket ships and jet packs!!!!

Charlie brought in a book

A very cool space book

The children want to 

make their own individual jet packs

and build a class space ship

and space station and

maybe a space computer(control center)

After looking on PINTEREST

there was so much excitement

we started brainstorming ideas!!!!
