Morning Work

Right now Fridays are very rare and unique

We have 5 BOYS

I am sure as the year progresses we will

get more students but for now we are going to enjoy the

special time we get to have with these boys!!

Special friendships are forming

and I love hearing the boys use each others names

They are getting to know each other

Will chose painting rocks first during morning work

Aiden soon came to join in

Charlie went to Magnet Tiles first

Then Will came and joined Charlie

When Luke came to school he wanted to build his "cabin" again with the bristle blocks

Aiden and Charlie colored together

Luke loves to use the people with his bristle block creations

I got our NEW magnet tiles!!! Look at the curves and domes!! Charlie was excited to show us his creation

Luke made a butterfly with the magnet tiles

Then back to bristle blocks.......

These boys were SO busy building and creating...... the classroom was SO quiet and the boys SO focused... I just let them continue building...... then before I knew it... it was outside time... a quick clean up and a very quick time on th eblue carpet!

Charlie was our youga instructor SO we made sure we did yoga before we went outside...

Thank you for the play doh! With the boys so busy I was able to divided it up and put the play doh into individual containers..... the kiddos will be so excited to play with play doh

next week!!!

OUTSIDE TIME

Aiden was our line leader

Will was excited to show me how he could walk across this wall... great coordination skills!

Yesterday on the playground Charlie discovered a "hole"

a section where the dirt and rock are eroding away

So Charlie was VERY concerned about this..... SO he made his own solution...

I am thinking future engineer here....... He collected sticks from around the playground to cover the hole.........

He kept collecting sticks and climbing back up until he felt the hole was completely covered!

ALL DONE!!! Lots of hard work but I love seeing these young minds work!!!

These log was too heavy for this Charlie to lift SO he asked a friend for help

Luke came over and helped!!!

Charlie was enjoying climbing on the tires too!!! Several times he climb on the

highest one)the one to his left in the picture) and then decided he needed help getting down but then he would try again.

Determination. I am sure after a few more tries he will do it all on his own. He finally

decided on a lower tire and was able to get up and down ALL by himself!

Aiden was excited to show me he could climb up and down all by himself!!

Learning new skills gives preschoolers such a sense of independence and confidence!!

Story Time... If you take a Mouse to School. The boys thought this story was pretty funny

Brody was VERY excited to be our weather helper today!!!

He then counted how many sunny days we have had SO far of school!

Will was our Libraian today... he got to put the story I just read on my desk for me

No prayer leader to day... So I chose God is Great prayer before snack

Luke was our snack manager....

SNACK TIME!!!

Brody and Luke finished snack first and asked if they could play with the pine cones

Will, Charlie and Aiden ate and ate until ALL their snacks were gone!!!!

Then everyone played a few minutes!!

Second Steps

All week we talked about how it feels when you do something for the first time(like going to school) Nervous is the description the children used the most. We practiced introducing ourselves to each other....

BRODY AND LUKE WENT FIRST..... each child had the chance to "pretend" to be the new student and the other would introduce themselves and invite them to play!!!

Each child said, "Hi! My name is__________! Would you like to play with me?"

What a great job!!.
