What a great 1st day of school

this center today
I like to use the children's pictures throughout the room and for
their nametags to be used with the HELPER chart
After the kids hung up their back packs, put their folders, water bottles and snack
in their cubbies, they washed their hands. After that they could choose an activity at
one of the open tables. Will choose to color first!
Tristan was excited to show me how he could stand on the tree stump
Will during center Time
We are preparing the helper/job chart..... I had several children today do a job
and I took their picture completing the job. I will then use that picture on the job chart.
Each Child will have their picture on one job, but they may choose any job that they wish
when they come in each morning. Job Chart will be ready by Monday morning!
Yoga time..... our yoga instructor choose for us to do downward dog
It was so cute watching the children enjoy the yoga
Jesus Time. we read from the bible. We learned that every story in the Bible are all true stories!!!
The children are getting their name tags to use during center time.
We walked around the room today and talked about each center. I showed the children that each center had a certain number of friends that can work in one area at one time.
If there is an open spot, then they may put their name tag on it and play in the center.
If that center is full, then they need to choose a new area. Doing center time like this helps the children learn about problem solving and learning to make choices
Claire got all her books ready and climbed up in this chair and read for a long time...so sweet!
After we come in from outside... we wash our hands and then get a book and sit on the brown carpet until everyone has their hands washed
Brody was our snack manager: For this job, the person whose job it is, gets to stand by me and call friends to snack. A great way to learn each others names!
Ella was our the exercise leader......I haven't updated the exercise chart yet from last year and Ella was excited to see her brother
Morning work time... Ella enjoyed using the gems with the ABC'S on them on matching the letters
I love how sweet the children look when we learn how to pray;

Bow our head
close our eyes
Claire loved this baby doll from the dramatic play... typically we keep the toys from each center in that center but it was SO sweet watching her read to the baby and when she ws done she brought it right back to the dramatic play
