Morning Work
Attendance Helper
WE had 14 friends here
*(one friend came a little later)
2 friends NOT here
Ava volunteered to be
invocation leader
We read the story of Jesus'
baptism from the bible
Then we talked about
what happens when we
are baptized
OUR SINS are WASHED away!!!
I demonstrated with this dry erase board
Wrote the word sin in a heart
We talked about when we don't do what God wants or our
parents---that is a sin and it can fill our heart
then I said when we go outside to play
we may get dirty--
made wiggly lines all over
to represent dirt
I told the class when you get dirty---we can
wash it away with a cloth, water/soap, etc..
I wipe all over the board and only the "dirt "came off
not the sin.....
I explained we are so BLESSED
that
JESUS can
wash our sins away
If we allow JESUS into our
hearts
HE can wash our sins away
I drew a cross and wiped the board again
and you can see it washed away the sin
where the cross was drawn....
then I said we should always try to FILL our hearts with
JESUS
He can take our sins away....
I filled the heart.....
Wiped again
AND everything washed away!!!
JESUS SAVES US!!!
They were pretty amazed
with this example

FUN WITH MUSIC AND ART
We told the children we were going to
move our pens to the music..
how did the music makes us feel...
sometimes it might be slow
sometimes it make us feel like drawing wiggly lines
and sometimes it goes really fast and
we move our pen really fast
BUT
when the music stops
we stop drawing too!!
I tired videoing---I will try to email it
or post to seesaw later if it turned out
WOW!!! The children LOVED this!!!!!
The next step which we did in a smaller group
was sematary art
putting paint on one side and
then folding paper in half
then rubbing our hands or rolling pen over paper to spread the paint
THEN
Open the paper and see what you created!!!
SO FUN
The other children played in centers as they waited for
their turn!!
ramps and loose parts
Trains
so busy and having SO much fun
PROCESS ART
allows children to be creative and express themselves
it is all about the process of creating
and NOT what the final project looks like and it doesn't have
to look like anyone elses--which promotes positive self esteem!

beads and ramps
