I told the class we were having a little bit

of a Wacky Day..

Our day was a little different with chapel

and Mrs Helmkamp reading

We did attendance helper on the brown carpet.

Luke told us we had 1 friend NOT here

( he ended up coming when we were outside)

15 friends here!!

SO we had EVERYONE AT SCHOOL TODAY!!!

Ms Steinbacher led chapel

She asked if anyone knew why we still

have the Christmas Trees up!!!!

Because this week we are celebrating

Epiphany!!!! 

She showed us the special ornaments ( Chrismons)on our

Christmas Tree.. 

taught us that Chrismons  tell the story

of Jesus' life and ministry!!

She showed us several and let us guess 

what they mean

We also had baptism remembrance 

Olivia was baptized in

January and she got a baptism button!

We got back to our class and

after we went potty and washed hands

we sat on the brown carpet and

we went straight to

Then Mrs Helmkamp arrived

to read to us....

We are really enjoy the 

MO Building Block Stories...

we voted for our favorite

Most friends didn't finish snack before Mrs

Helmkamp came so we went back to the snack tables

Since it was a little later... after friends 

finished snack they

went straight to

CENTERS

We are working on learning to pray....

I take pray request while the children are at 

center time... 

A HELP ME PRAYER

Then when we sit down at end of the day

I tell the children about the different parts of prayer

I begin by saying the part

where we PRAISE God

for everything He does for us

Then I read the children's HELP ME

part of the prayer

and then we say the

THANK YOU PART

I go around the circle and ask the children to say

Thank you Jesus for...

(we haven't talk about

FORGIVE ME PART)

WE end by saying

WE LOVE YOU JESUS, AMEN
