Morning Work

Harrison began his morning

with the wooden

colorful rectangles

Maisie started her day with the

plastic lines that fit together

JJ also began his day with these

plastic lines---

he likes to stack them

TORNADO DRILL

The children did

a great job of going straight into the

bathroom

We talked about why we go into the

bathroom during a tornado(a location with no

windows)

We also talked about that if you are

at home you probably go to

your basement(or lowest level with

no windows

After a few minutes,

we came back out and went

to the blue carpet for

Morning Meeting...

Calvin was

Eleanor was 

our invocation leader

We shared what our

favorite thing

that GOD created

Friends raised their hands and shared

and Mrs Koenen made it into a song

Then I said one of my favorite things God created is

FAMILY!!!!!

We have our home family and

our school family!!!

God wants us to treat others with KINDNESS

God wants us to treat our

families with 

KINDNESS

SCHOOL

AND 
HOME families...

So with the break and

me being absent

a few days

our class family name 

vote never got 

finalized!!!

Today is the day....

we had several choices that only got one or two 

votes

and 3 choices that had 4 or more.....

These 3 were all pretty close...

SO I gave a few friends

an opportunity re-vote

if their choice only had 1 or 2 votes.....

And the winner is

STITCH

admittedly I was surprise how many

children know who is 

Stitch is

We then talked about how in our class

we will show

God's Love and BE KIND...

We already have one 

FULL KINDNESS Heart

I reminded the children that our 

goal is too fill all

the windows with kindness hearts!!

JJ helped a friend close the curtain so

they could go to the bathroom

he got to put n a kindness heart

OUTSIDE

we found an area of the 

playground where we

can dig

they children LOVE

to DIG!!

Mrs Helmkamp got this

large spools from

a place in her hometown....

today this group of kids

used them like

a "ride"...

they would sit on them and lift their

feet and it would roll

with them on it...

JJ was prayer leader

 she did an excellent job at knowing almost

everyone's names!!

Calvin wanted a turn in

dramatic play but there were already too many people

SO he signed his name on

a sheet of paper

SO we knew his turn would be next

Finally Calvin was happy

to get a turn in dramatic play

And Kennedy LOST a tooth(at home)!!!

She got to put her name on the

I lost a tooth chart!!!

We had several friends put

Kindness hearts today up today!!

BUT the children had SO much FUN and EXPLORED

EVERY Center!!!  

When it was clean up time

Everyone worked together

and got everything cleaned---

and there was A LOT of toys

out!!

We are doing a great job working 

together as a class family!!
