We had a special guest.....

Lucas' parents came to celebrate 

his birthday

(his birthday was before

Thanksgiving but today was the

day that worked)

Lucas was also our 

attendance helper

3 friends NOT here

(Otto was able to join us a little late after he got his cast off!!!

YAY!!!)

So we ended up with 9 friends at school today!!

With the weather rainy

and wet we decided to go 

to the commons

So we kinda did things a little different

since we normally go outside

at 8:30 but didn't get to go to 

the commons until 9:20

Jesus Time

we watched a video of

The Angel Gabriel coming to visit

Mary to tell her she was going

to be the mother of God's son...

The angel also visited Joseph

and told him to not be afraid to still

marry Mary!

Then we acted out the story several times.....

1st time

Charleigh was Mary and Lucas was Gabriel

Gabriel visits Mary and says

Do not be afraid

I bring good news from God.

You have been chosen to be the Mother

of God's son....

Mary asked

How can this be---- I am not married....

Gabriel told her

Nothing is impossible  with God!

Then Gabriel came to Joseph(Luke)

in a dream...

He said......

do not be afraid

He then told Joseph he is to marry Mary and 

that Mary is going to have

God's son and they are to name Him

Jesus

Then Joseph asks Mary to marry him.....

Each of the girls wanted a turn to be Mary

so we had other take turns being

Joseph and Gabriel....

Ben was Gabriel and Luke

was Joseph again

And Maisie was Mary

who told them since they all 3 know what

to say they should "perform"

at home ......

A few friends (Samuel and Rowen)

chose to just watch.......

After we  "perform"

we take a bow.....

Retelling the story is probably one

of this class favorite things to do.....

I got out cards to use under the microscope

We wrote our names

on the back of the Christmas

TOE TOUCHES

We have been doing toe touches more

often and the class is getting

very good at them....

Practice at home, encouraging your child to touch

their hand to their opposite

toe!!
