MORNING WORK
Nora was building her blocks as well as
making a pattern!
Morning Meeting and
Class Pledge
Nora was our Attendance helper
1 friend NOT at school
7 friends AT school
From our experiment yesterday, we
place a tray of water outside overnight
Many of the children wanted to know
if it would freeze FROZEN SOLID!
It DID and everyone was excited
to feel it!!!
We set it on the sensory table and made
guesses/predictions on what would happen if we
left the frozen solid ice on the table
I forgot to take a picture of their predictions BUT
here is what each child said:
Hazel: it will melt to water
Teddy: it will crack
Jemma: I think it will melt
Mila: not ice, just water
Charlie:it will stay freeze
Nathaniel: I think it is.......... someone will break it
Nora G: melt
Next we filled another tray with water
and added liquid water colors
The children LOVED mixing the colors
Next we put it outside to see how long it
would take to FREEZE
Jemma volunteered to be
our YOGA INSTRUCTOR
Downward Dog
Then we sang songs
For outside time, we switched
classrooms
So much fun exploring
new things
STORY TIME
Teddy volunteered to be our weather helper
Nathaniel was our prayer leader
Hazel was our snack manager
SNACK
Jemma was our teacher assistant
NOW to see what happened to our ice that was
on the sensory table.... it MELTED!
NEXT to see about our colored ice......
we learned that the liquid watercolor does NOT
freeze as quickly as pure water!
we wanted to paint with
our colored ice cubes BUT
they were not as frozen as they needed to be
However.........
lots of FUN was still had
just playing with the ice
that was frozen solid and the colored
(half) frozen ice
we also decided to try again
we made a new ice tray with water and liquid water color
we are going to let in sit in the freezer until MONDAY
Then we should be able to paint with it!!
other center time fun
Nora volunteered to be
our exercise leader
running in place
PRAYER REQUESTS
We always walk to get our
coats and backpacks in
different ways... today we crabbed walked
FRIENDS are working hard at ZIPPERING
their own coats
Mila and Nathaniel
both got to put their pictures on our
ZIPPER CHART
GREAT JOB!!!!
