Matthew was our teacher assistant
Science Experiment
I had 2 tray
I put water in each tray
I asked the children to predict
what would happen to the water
Asking the youngest children first
(mostly wanted to see if any had prior
knowledge or experience)
My question was
What will happen to the water in the tray
if we put it outside our door?
My second question:
What will happen to the water in
the tray if we put it inside
by our door?
Read our class thoughts below.......
One friend was concern it would get
taken if we left it outside.....which is maybe
something from prior knowledge....
like we can't leave our toys outside or
someone will take them.....
SO once ONE person said that
quite a few agreed!
Once i started asking a few older children,
and someone brought up the idea of
it would melt/freeze......
it made others start thinking down that
road.......
I love doing science experiments with the children
and I love to hear what they will
predict!!!!!
So many great thoughts and I love for the children
to use information they already know to make
predictions!!!
CENTER TIME
We read a story yesterday about
that talked about making puppets and I told the children we could get the puppets out
BUT we forgot. Claire asked me today if we could get out some puppets!!
The children had a BLAST and put on many puppets shows
Another friend asked to use the IPAD to "record" a few...
I will try to post o few to Seesaw
if any of the videos turned out!!
I guess no pictures were taken...he just recorded video....
I'll check them out later
Carson was Superintendent
Nora was exercise leader
RUNNING IN PLACE
OUR RESULTS
It was SO cold outside that within 40 mins
the water in the tray was ALMOST frozen solid...but definitely frozen enough
to learned what will happen.
The water in the tray that
was inside was unchanged....
They loved touching the frozen water
Another friend (who will be here tomorrow)
said he was hoping it would be frozen solid
SO I told him we could leave it outside overnight to see what would happen!
PRAYER REQUESTS!
