ESTIMATION JAR

Matthew got to be our

Estimation Jar Helper 1st

We put his treasures in the jar in

secret. Then he walked it around so everyone

can see. Then I asked each child 

to "estimate" / "guess"

how many legos were in the jar

I wrote down each child's estimation

We then counted the legos together

we then looked at the estimation

One child guessed it exactly!

15 little lego parts!!

We will also use this time to talk about

the terms "more" or "less"

Today was an exact guess!

The children LOVED it!!!

Next we did yoga

I explained to the children since

we have completed ALL the letters

we are now going to review.

We will have MYSTERY BOX

and whoever had the job as sit by

the teacher/teacher assistant

will get to be the MYSTERY BOX

He pulled out the letter H. 

He showed all his friends.

Then he gets to use the wooden pieces

to form that letter

To work towards finishing our SPACE PROJECT

Each child is going to design their own planet and name it

A few friends worked on theirs today!

We started planet books when we first started this project

but have been so busy we have not finished them.

But it may work out better now that most can tell me or are familiar with

the correct order.

It was clean up time and Brody and Charlie both

wanted to save their work, but wanted a picture JUST in case 

it gets knocked (accidentally) down they can rebuild it
