Wednesday's Blog

 Outdoor Fun!

Olivia found some Ginko leaves!

We spied a squirrel's nest high up in the tree!

Chapel

Olivia carried our cross to chapel in The Commons and took up our offering. Mrs. Kuhlmann, Zion's Assistant Principal, led chapel. She told us about the ten men who went to Jesus and asked for healing and how only one man told Jesus thank you. Mrs. Kuhlmann reminded us how important it is to thank Jesus for all He does for us. We end each day in a circle, where each child in our class says.. "Thank you Jesus for.." Today we had friends thank Jesus for their friends, family, pets, and teachers.

Reading

Several students made "Leaves, Leaves, on the tree" books and read them to the class!

Nora reads to the class.

Olivia read her book to the class!

Lyla reads to her friends!

Our read aloud about some funny turkeys.

Centers

I love the creative loose part turkeys the children are making this week! They all approached making a turkey in a different way and this activity gave them the opportunity to use their creativity!

There was lots of building going on! Another way to problem-solve and use creativity.

The students made a multi-floor animal habitat! What vocabulary, sorting, and planning and creativity!

Some students chose to decorate dot-art Thanksgiving pictures.

Some students made collages at the art center.

We are talking about Moses this week and some students enjoy coloring Bible story pages.

Students working on their "Leaves, Leaves, on the Tree" book.

Having fun in the Farmer's Market!

Harrison made this wonderful bird!

The students are learning their letters and sounds! We review them everyday!
