Autumn Scavenger Hunt

What perfect weather for an autumn scavenger hunt. We took a walk and looked for signs of fall and checked them off on our list. Ask your child to share some of the things they discovered and what we checked off on our list.

8th Grade Rocket Launch

The whole school gathered outside to watch Zion's 8th graders launch rockets they had made. How fun! Some rockets went high and some did not! A few even landed on our playground. We had fun counting down to Blast Off!

Sink or Float

More friends experimented with sink or float during centers today. We predicted what we thought would happen, tested the items, and recorded our results. We tested the following items.. candy corn, marshmallow, leaf, and a marble.

Center Fun

Some friends made scarecrows, others were creative with Potato Heads while others explored the autumn items in the sensory bin! There was creative building and painting too!

Our read aloud for the day. We have been talking about the leaves changing colors on the trees and the shapes of the leaves as well.
