HAPPY TUESDAY
Wyatt was SO excited to
do a job he has never done before!!
He was our botanist
today!!
He drew what he discovered
about how pepper plants
Jace was our entomologist.... he was excited to see our butterflies
MORNING WORK
This cool puzzle using a magnetic
"bug net" to catch/lift the pieces out
Jace using the butterflies
Cameron and Carson having fun
with the JACKS... they children
really love this and it truly is a great
way to strengthen and develop fine motor skills
Teddy having fun with
the Jacks
Nora reading one of
our new library books on
butterflies!
A butterfly/Caterpillar game
Game playing is so important
and a great way to teach one to one
correspondence, number recognition, turn taking,
and how to handle not always winning
Nora brought a butterfly
to share with the class
The children are so
excited the BUTTERFLIES
emerged !! We have 5!!
Tomorrow we will release them!!
It seems to be the best weather forecasted day
For those who do not come on Weds.... I will record the release and
send it out!!!
Mila was attendance helper
Jace and Wyatt sharing their findings with
the class
Since we didn't get to see the
butterflies actually emerge...we watched an
YOUTUBE video!!
OUTSIDE!!!! I knew the playground
would be wet from the rain BUT I didn't
know it would be flooded!!!
Didn't take long for the children to discover
the water!!!! It began with just 1 or 2
gently walking through the water
Then discovering just how deep the water
really was.... it came to about the top of
Charlie's boots!
Lots of discovering, exploring
and learning about cause and effect!!!
By the end...the children were very comfortable
splashing and stomping through the water!!!
Definitely FUN but so very
messy!!!
Just what a day of preschool should be!!!
And one friend who just
wanted to stay on high ground
and observe!
Charlie says, "I think I am going
to faint!"
Mrs Koenen said, " Well, Children + Water =
Children getting wet!!
Charlie thought for a moment and said,
Children + Water = disaster
😂😂😂
I personally would have been the
child standing exactly where Mila
stood.... she did explore a little
when I assured her it was dry in
the bamboo...but I don't think she went
there for long!
STORY TIME
Mila was our weather helper
Charlie was our Prayer Leader
Teddy was our snack manager
SNACK
Our teacher assistant will start to have
a new JOB.... still pointing to things and
calling on friends BUT now pointing to
our environmental print!!!!
Feel free to start sending in
environmental print....
Jace was our LAST estimation jar friend!!
He brought in fun random toys.....
LOTS of friends estimated exactly
right or VERY close!
CENTER TIME
NEW ITEMS in dramatic play
a veterinarian clinic/office
VERY POPULAR AREA
so we have a sign up sheet
(which is a great way to encourage
children to write their names)
Which BTW..... writing with the paper
taped at eye/chest level strengthens other
muscles... like core and arm.
This is can be a little difficult but a
great thing to try at home.
Or use an easel but encourage the children to
STAND rather than sit!!
Nathaniel put something in the stool
and was showing Wyatt
Mila making a creation
Matthew was our superintendent
Charlie leaving a new message
for Emma. Charlie looked at a
sign that had my last name and was
spelling it out! Wyatt came to help find
a few letters
Carson volunteered to be our
YOGA Instructor
UMMMM>>>> as you can see... challenging!!!
SO I asked them to bend over and try to touch
their heads to their knees... MUCH easier!!!!
Carson's job today was exercise
leader..... RUN IN PLACE
PRAYER REQUESTS!!!
