We had a surprise delivery yesterday!!!

CATERPILLARS

We created a new jobs today

First new job:

ENTOMOLOGIST

a person who studies insects

friends from last year may remember

us learning about insects

And of course a 

Botanist

person who studies plants

So many different aspects to science for us

 to keep learning about

Today Nora was our 

Entomologist

We learned that the caterpillars will take 7-10 days

before climbing to the top and forming their chrysalis

Our entomologist will help us keep count

and observe what is happening and keep "record "of

it in a journal!

Our Botanist will also observe our PEPPER SEEDS we planted

from Charlie's pepper he brought us from home.  We did this experiment

2 Weds ago..... We planted 1/2 the pepper seeds Charlie brought and then let the other 1/2 dry out

and planted then the following Weds.

I found different information about how to plant a pepper from the peppers

you get from the grocery store. So we are "seeing" what happens

So far the peppers planed 1st are sprouting!!!

Our plants we planted yesterday our on day 2...... day of rest

we will check on them again tomorrow!!

YOGA

Nora was our Yoga Instructor

Nora led invocation

Mrs Koenen led JESUS TIME

She told us the story of the Last Supper

1st Jesus asked 2 disciples to go ahead and

prepare the room for them.... So Nora and Addie

were the "disciples" 

They came and told "JESUS" the room was ready

Then the disciples followed JESUS to an upper room

(AKA DRAMATIC PLAY AREA)

The disciples....which it worked out that we had 12 children today

all sat around the table.... she retold the story

JESUS blessed the BREAD and told the disciples

EAT this is my body... to remind you of me.....

Everyone got to break off

a piece of bread.....

Then Jesus BLESSED the WINE (AKA JUICE)

the kids all kept asking if it was REAL.... even after we told

them several times it was juice!😂😂😂

After Jesus ate and drank with

the disciples he took them to the

garden to "PRAY"

While Jesus was PRAYING the disciples fell asleep

Then the soldiers come

and one of the disciples betrays JESUS

He let the soldiers know who JESUS is by kissing him on the cheek

we stopped at the part of the story where the soldiers take JESUS away

NEXT we added soil to our planters

HUGE HUGE thank you to 

Mason's dad for building them!

Then off to the PINE YARD

Addie made this to help

"attract" the humming birds 💜💜

And Charlie and Nora had painting "loose parts"

last week to also help attract them...we added them to our 

bird feeder pole
