MORNING WORK

Hazel and Jemma were enjoying 

these cubes and sticks

Nathaniel was building with the colorful

cubes!

And was excited to show what he created

Hazel and Jemma then joined Teddy

at play doh

Charlie was figuring out 

that if you put the stick

through the hole on the cubes

it will be steady enough to build a tall tower

Mila came over and joined Nathaniel

Teddy and Mila 

had their 1st day

of school today

Then we played a game to learn everyones names

Next I talked  to the children about 

different options/sitting positions

Some young children have a hard time

sitting criss cross applesauce

(which is always in option)

so I have a few options that they can chose

from while on the blue carpet

Jemma and Nora are showing us

Teddy, Aiden and Mila are

Hazel also wanted to show us "lounge"

FIRE DRILL DAY

The fire alarm went off while we were 

on the play ground

SO we practiced

lining up and walking onto the 

field

Everyone did a great job!!

After we play outside we

came in, went potty and washed

our hands and then looked at books

until everyone was done in the bathroom

Hazel sat in the 

SIT BY THE TEACHER spot

while I read a story

In the middle of the story

Mr Marolf came around to our building

and just said the words

FIRE DRILL

(we didn't have to hear the loud alarm

this time)

SO we practiced again!

Then we finished our story

Nathaniel was SO excited to 

be the weather helper today!!!!

He talked about it all morning

and had planned out what he was going to put 

on the weather

I tell the children if it is a HAPPY 

kind of day and they want a rainbow

They can put that up on our

chart

He was really excited

to tell me it was a 

rainbow kind of day

(He wants to see the new Paw Patrol movie)

We moved yoga to a little later in the morning because 

I wanted a little more time to show them each of the poses

It is so fun to watch!!!

Squeezing glue bottle is such a great

way to develop strength in little fingers

Nathaniel wanted to make a cat....... keeping watching

Hazel wanted to practice with scissors

(and I have left handed scissors too)

She was more comfortable with her thumb down

as most young kiddos are,

but as their fingers get stronger

they will be able to turn theirs thumbs up
