Morning Work

So many choices!

Charlie wanted a picture(s) of his creations

which came in handy because

he wanted to save his work and it accidentally

got put away. We decided we could just

look at the pictures and rebuild it!!

It was perfect!

Carson and Wyatt enjoyed playing together

yesterday and started their morning the same way!

Love to watch friendships forming!

MORNING MEETING

sitting on the carpet for some children can be 

difficult, especially if you have to sit in just one way...

SO I like to give the children lots of choices

pf positions to sit in

Nora is showing you MERMAID

"LOUNGE".... every year I have so many kiddos that want to sit with 

their feet in front of them

So I just decided to give it a name and make it a choice

Introduced a new job today

ATTENDANCE

Addie was our attendance helper today

The attendance helper brings over the boards 

that the children sign in with

and we look at the names of the 

children we came to school

and the friends who are not at school

smaller board are the children NOT here today

I asked the children to count how many friends didn't

come to school

BIG BOARD is how many friends did come to school

Attendance helper leads the class

in counting how many friends came to school

JESUS TIME

Another new job today

Jace was our INVOCATION HELPER

Invocation is how we will begin each JESUS TIME

It has words and hand actions

Leader: We begin in the name of God the Father

class; Who created us

Leader: And in the name of God the Son

class; Who died for us

Leader And in the name of God the Holy Spirit

class; Who comforts us

Today I just introduced the bible to them

Most already know

I asked the class if they knew what the bible was about

Many answered JESUS!

Then i told them that all the stories we will learn

are all TRUE!!

We will talk a lot about TRUE stories

VS NOT TRUE(FICTION)

We sang THE BIBLE song!!!

YOGA INSTRUCTOR

WOW!! Pretty good line for day 1(for a few) and 2(for most)

Claire wanted to be sit bu the teacher

as sit in the special chair as I read a story

Jace helped by being Librarian today too

The Librarian puts the book that I 

read for story on my desk

Nora was weather helper

The children enjoying having rainbow as a choice

of weather SO I told hte children if you are having a 

HAPPY kind of day you should put a rainbow up

Charlie was PRAYER LEADER

He did an excellent job and read the prayer to

the class all by himself

He paused perfect allowing time for the children to

repeat after him!!!

Nathaniel was excited to be snack manager

The snack manager calls friends to snack

such a great way to learn everyone's name

PICNIC SNACK

Isaac and Nora D 

ate snack together

As some of the children finished quicker than 

others we let them run around the PINE YARD a bit

Charlie wanted to SEE-SAW

on the railroad tile

So him and Nora sat on either side 

After snack we come in and wash our hands

then I talked about all the centers

that were open

CENTER TIME

So many friends wanted to start at 

the work bench!

Matthew and Wyatt played and played

with legos!!!

some creations may not

come home until the next

day your child attends school because

it may be wet from LOTS of glue

Squeezing glue bottles

is such a great way to develop little finger muscles!
