Today was the 1st day we used our

helper chart..... the children each have a name tag

with their picture and name on it and then get

to chose their job for the day!

So FUN to pick a job

After the children sign in 

and pick their job

No one chose invocation leader

so I led the children and Mrs Koenen helped 

the children remember what they say

Yesterday we learned that GOD made us

and knows each of us by name

Today we talked more about GOD

and how much he

LOVES us!!

***** we did have a tornado drill today

Mr Marolf came over the PA system and announce

tornado drill and the children followed me into our bathroom

and we stayed in there until Mr Marolf came back over and said

ALL CLEAR(maybe 2 mins)

I am pretty sure quite a few had no

idea what we were doing... a few even just thought

maybe I should go potty(no one actually

went but asked if they could)

BUT the most important thing

EVERYONE followed directions and came with us

into the bathroom

OUTSIDE TIME

After we play outside

we come in, wash our hands, then sit on 

the brown carpet and read books while we wait

for everyone to wash hands

Each week I will do 

Mystery Bag

( I will rotate doing it 
on Mondays and Tuesday so

everyone will get some chance to 

do mystery bag)

Inside I have pictures

of 3-4 of things that 

begin with the letter we will

be talking about

I show one picture at a time

the children look at the picture

without saying what it is 

and then once everyone has seen the picture

they whisper what it is to a friend

then we say it all together

after we see each picture... we talk about what each one is and

make the beginning sound

Then I have the children guess what the letter

they think is in the mystery bag....

then the children can raise their hands

and tell me words they know that start with that

letter

feel free to help

your child come up with words that start

with the letter we are talking about

and he/she can share the next day he/she 

attends school
