Second Steps

We learn a lot about identifying emotions

The children told me this boy looks:

angry, mad and sad

From the picture we can see that the little girl

painted on his picture

we talked about ways to 

calm ourselves down,

state how we feel 

and then solve the  problem

The children did a great job coming up with things

to say( I don't like it when you paint on 

my picture) and how to calm themselves(belly breathes)

OUTSIDE

on our way up to the church

we stop and played in the "BOBCAT PIT"

where the BIG kids play a game

when they are on the playground

They really enjoyed running around inside here

CHAPEL

Today Mrs Haun led chapel

Mrs Rouland and Mrs Lohmann helped tell the

story of Mary and Martha

Tristan was our offering helper

OOPS Carly couldn't find hers at first

but Mrs Larimore found them!

So we added them to our EPW

Laura enjoyed these blocks today

So it was clean up time and a few friends started putting

away the trains BUT Wyatt had wanted a picture of his work

so he was upset.  PERFECT opportunity to put into work 

what we learn during Second Steps

I heard one friend say,

Just say how you feel

a few others immediately

could tell what was wrong

and started helping rebuild

Wyatt then showed fiends how he wanted

everyone moved back so Wyatt could get a picture

and then everyone helped clean up and

most importantly everyone was HAPPY!

 *** with chapel we ran out of time for yoga and exercise****

and we also didn't have time to play in our PINE YARD

it was a fast day!
