Morning Work

Leo enjoyed this puzzle

He talked about how to spell each word

and found each letter

(it was all in lower case too)

Ella told me she wanted to make me a bug

I have random scrap paper for the kiddos to color

during morning work..... one was a calendar.

Charlie began coloring his school days one color and his 

home days another color

which inspired Ella to do the same

Leo and Luke playing with the magnets

Charlie just went over and prayed

Second Steps

Rosetta and JJ came to school today

Rosetta and JJ were playing together

in the sensory table. JJ began splashing and got Rosetta 

all wet.  Rosetta remembered what we have been learning.

To stop, say how you feel, take belly breathes and then solve your problem

Rosetta chose to come to talk to the teacher but there are other

 ways she could solve her problem too.  As a class, we talked about 

the other ways then we role played with the 

puppets!!!  WOW!! The children really enjoyed this!!

One child pretend to be JJ and the other

was Rosetta. Everyone did such a great job!!

Then we started our walk over to the church for chapel

We talked about the proper way to

sit in a pew and how to be a respectful

and good listener.

Then a few of the children noticed this beautiful 

stained glass window of Jesus!!!

And someone else noticed these banners of creation

So many interesting things to see in the church

Pastor Rouland and Gary, the puppet

led chapel today

and reminded us how much GOD loves us!

Story Time

Leo was the weather helper

He chose a rainbow ( the children choose rainbow

when it feels like a happy kind of day)

Luke was prayer leader

of the Mystery Letter Box

Great figuring out how to make the G

with the wooden pieces

and trying to solve a way to make a lower case

with the wooden piece

We watched a short video on how astronauts eat

in space.

Then we taste tested freeze dried fruit

a few kiddos were skeptical

everyone tasted each one

after we tasted each fruit (banana and pineapple) 

we got to vote on which one we liked the best

and then we graphed our choice

we learned from our graph that the same number of people

liked pineapples as liked the bananas and only 

one person did NOT like either

MANY kiddos wanted me to take a picture of what they tasted

so MOM will know what to buy them at home
