looking at the pictures we discussed how the little girl was feeling

everyone agreed she was sad

then we talked about ways to make others feel better when they are sad

Then we took turns role playing

one friends pretended to be sad

then another friend came over to comfort

The class did such a great job!!

Several children wanted more than one turn to role play

it was SO sweet to watch and listen to the children

comfort each other
