parable is.....a story that Jesus told

people to teach them a lesson...

this lesson was be kind to our

neighbor... who is our

neighbor

Barely drizzling when we

came outside today

but it didn't last long

BIG PUDDLES!!!

Big puddles are FUN!

I always tell the children before we go out

if I think it will be really wet  and then for them 

to think about where they want

to play outside and if they think they

want to play in the water to change into

boots....

I like to try to get the children to think ahead

and make a plan

A few days ago we wanted to see if we

could make 

MARS SAND

Sand that is red....

we added sand, steel wool and water...

we talked about Mars and that the sand on Mars is

red and then noticed our

sand was turning red too!!!

we learned why this happens..

on Mars the rock contains iron,

which is a metal....

when exposed to the environment it oxidizes...

The steel wool when exposed to water, rust causes the

sand to appear red....
