Jesus washed
His disciples feet
when Jesus washed the disciples
feet, he was also using it as an example
to encourage HIS disciples to be kind to one
another
ALSO a way of showing
Jesus washes away our sins
( HE washed away the dirt on their
feet)--like sin from our hearts
Then I showed the children a
pitch of CLEAN water...
like our hearts without SIN
PURE and CLEAN
BUT
when we SIN (everyone does everyday)
our hearts become dirty...
like our water is now
filling with dirt/trash --- sins makes our hearts dirty
As we said an idea for a
sin we added more dirt:
not listening to our parents
arguing with a brother or sister
not listening to your teachers
BUT THANKFULLY because of JESUS our heart can become clean
everyday---Jesus takes our sin away( I took the trash out saying it can
reminds us of how Jesus takes our sin away)
Our helpers.....
Yesterday we filled another kindness heart and I put a new one up
I challenged the children to see how fast
we can fill our new KINDNESS HEART
Jesus wants
us to fill our hearts and others heart
with Kindness every day!
OUTSIDE
We have BIG pieces of Bamboo
for the children to use as a fort/
shelter/cave/frozen house...
whatever they wanted...
Only rule was ---- we are not allowed to
big up the bamboo or move it---
the pieces are really big and safer to
keep it like it is...
so many friends enjoyed this today!!
Everyone had their own ideas of what
it was--one point a little arguing over what it should be
BUT then I reminded the children tha tit is ok
to have different ideas---and of some people want a
cave and some people want a frozen house---
that is ok--
everyone gets to choose their
own way to pretend
this seemed to work and
everyone went
about happily pretending.....
Winston wanted to show me the fastest
way down the slide for him..... down the middle
on his belly
Then Mrs Lohmann ( a full day PS teacher)
gave us this awesome cover
to make our fort/cave, etc..
even cooler....
Charlotte was our
librarian
So we read this book
that gives us true facts
while at same time
silly fiction scenerios...
As we read we pointed
out the parts that
are TRUE ( NON FICTION)
and the parts that were silly/pretend (FICTION)
