HAPPY TUESDAY!!
SO great to see everyone back at school!!!
We have finished one
of our service projects for children in Guatemala.
Before Thanksgiving we decorated
Christmas Trees, then Mrs Koenen and I
added a bible verse then "wrapped" them in these baggies
adding a Merry Christmas label!
Morning work
The magnetic Wand with the
jingle bells is always a hit!!!
Winston is playing
the roll and cover game
Lucas and Otto are
using the Winter Village
Play Doh
with Christmas Cookie Cutters
Kennedy was excited to show me
her Pumpkin she made
Then several friends
practiced cutting
on the lines!
Morning Meeting
Lincoln was our
attendance helper
Everyone came to school today!!!!
15 friends at school!
Arwen was our
invocation leader
Our Jesus time story today
Zippy also came and talked to the children about
patience!!! Waiting is HARD!!! Several stories
in the bible talk about people who
had to wait for something....
Abraham and Sarah waited a
LONG time for a baby!!!
People waited a LONG time for God to send our
SAVIOR, Jesus!!!
We prepare for Christmas by celebrating
ADVENT!! The important thing
during ADVENT is to prepare our hearts and be
ready! Plus we need to remember we are all sinful and we need
our SAVIOR, JESUS!!!
Today's Helpers
OUTSIDE TIME
Otto has a cast on his leg for a few more days....
before Thanksgiving he injured his
leg playing soccer... to help him out
while on the playground we used and stroller and
a group of friends stood all around him while I read books!!
It was very sweet!!
Cecilia was our
librarian
This book has beautiful pictures
BUT LOTS and LOTS of words---
But it talked a lot about our Jesus time story
for this week. So we enjoyed the pictures and retold
parts of the story that we already know!
Mack was our weather helper
Calvin was our
prayer leader
Lucas was our
snack manager
SNACK
The children LOVE our new
decorations....
one of which is the
Fireplace......
They are enjoying sitting around the
fire and reading!!!
Ella was our
teacher assistant
MYSTERY BAG
Today's clues...
Yogurt
Yo-Yo
Yarn
1 big line
1 little line
Cecilia wanted to
form the letter for us.......
She knew the letter and
told me she could write it
easier than making it
with the lines-----
I completely agree and this is
why we do Y near the end of line letters...
it is harder to make....
Many friends gave it a try
Center Time
some new items....
Big wooden arches
And a black rubber piece of material
the children use for multiply things....
build ramps for the wooden balls.....
We also put up the
Christmas tree and the children can
decorate it
And LOTS of baby
items to play with too>>>>
which is a favorite
for a big group of this class
I also worked with a small
group to make
Christmas Cards for children who
are in the hospital and may
not be at home for Christmas!
Cecilia wanted to pretend to
be putting the fire out.......
Then I got a group of
friends to play
GO FISH....
Foster, Lucas, Lincoln
Winston and Otto
all played cards
Oliver was our
Superintendent
Charlotte was our
Yoga Instructor....
Owl Pose
Prayer Requests
Learning the hand motions
to our Advent Song
Foster was line
leader so he got to
chose the good bye rhyme
