This week we have reviewed

the Easter Story in several 

ways.....

This COOL

Story Egg was a fun

way to retell the story

AND I AM SO IMPRESSED

WITH HOW THE CHILDREN

HAVE LEARNED THE STORY!!!

The picture on each egg

reminds us of a different

part of the Easter Story

and the really cool part

the eggs "NEST"

SO PRETTY OUTSIDE

Mrs Helmkamp had some seeds

so a few of us planted some

wild flowers today

Fun to use colored chalk too

STORY TIME

Nora was our

weather helper

A rainbow kind of day

Oliver was prayer leader

Colton was snack manager

SNACK

Addie was teacher

assistant

And also Addie got to bring

the items for 

estimation jar

9 items!!

We had some great

estimating

Working on a special project... we 

needed a heart painted

SO I decided to do a little 

lesson on SYMMETRY 

as well as color mixing

we put color on just one side

of the heart then

closed the heart

Push down to move the paint around on

then

OPENED!!

I wish I had recorded the children's reactions

to the results.....

we could see we created green

from the yellow and blue mixing

but we had an open spot

so decided to create orange

we mixed yellow and red

again the OOOOOO's

and AHHHHHH's it was so cute!!

They LOVED seeing the results

PLUS we now have a beautiful heart

for a special project!

CENTER TIME

Dress up clothing has been

a BIG hit!!!!

So much FUN!!!

When I noticed Teddy had this on 

backwards... I just had to snap a shot

He looks so cute!

PICNIC BLANKET

Getting Wrap up Like a Burrito

This is a silly and fun game

that ALL children seem to LOVE!!

It has a calming affect on the children as well....

think about a crying infant and swaddling.....

the tight feeling around them makes them feel

safe and helps calm them.

I mostly choose to do this just as a fun game

but also a few friends kept wanting to

wrap up in the picnic blanket and

 reminded me of this activity

Almost everyone wanted a turn

but we ran out of time....

OOR CATERPILLARS ARE GROWING

Does anyone have a CATERPILLAR/

BUTTERFLY house at their homes

we could borrow?  I can not find mine😉

We are going to need something very 

soon!!
