Morning Work

Addie and Colton started with
magnetic blocks

Hazel sorted the pom-poms

Carson , Nora, Cecilia and Mason
were enjoying the beads

Lincoln wanted to color
 today

Isaac and Mrs Koenen
played Tic Tac Toe

Morning Meeting
and
Class Pledge

Hazel was our
attendance helper

1 friend NOT at school
11 friends AT school

We made a short video to send to
Teddy who is home sick today

and the children wanted to watch it SO
I put it on the SMARTBOARD

Mason led invocation
for us today

I showed the children
the pictures of
this story
and asked them to retell
what they remembered!!

Then we talked about
songs for
GRANDPARENTS DAY!

Mrs Cooper's class and our class
will sing in chapel for our
grandparents

COMMONS

We made an obstacle
course

The children were asked to ride
the scooters in different ways

First way was the
traditional way...

We also asked them weave in and out
of the cones

On the other side of the
commons we had
"stepping stones"
and the children had to try to
step across them all without
stepping off(into the "hot lava")

Then the LIMBO

The next time through the
scooter obstacle course
we asked the children to ride
backwards

Then on their tummies....

most wanted to use their hands to push
themselves

BUT that makes it too
easy and not
strengthening the
core

BUT
when you put your hands up and only
push with your legs......

much harder.......
and a great way to build those little muscles!

Mrs Koenen put the limbo
stick really LOW

can they get through on a scooter

and a low limbo stick?

They did with maybe a little help
from Mrs Koenen
🤣🤣🤣

Then a FREEZE game
where Mrs Koenen asked the children
to jump, hop, roll, etc...
until she says FREEZE!

These kiddos started a game of
DUCK DUCK GOOSE!!

STORY TIME

Carson was our
librarian

Lincoln was weather

RAINY

Hazel was prayer leader

She did a great job leading
this prayer

Nora was snack manager

SNACK

we had some leftovers

The children ate and ate
FRUIT!!!

Plus we had some chocolate milk leftover
(our dairy free kiddos enjoyed the
dairy free...everything free
chocolate milk)

SO many P WORDS...

and when I thought they were done., I took this
picture
BUT......
they just kept raising their
hands.......

GREAT JOB!!

CENTERS

water beads

LOVING the dress up photo booth stuff

Nora chose trains first

Loving the water beads

A few friends still needed
to do their winter tree observation

A little UNO
I played a few rounds of UNO
with several of the children.

GAME playing teaches so many GREAT skills!!!!

They LOVED this!!!

Their own dance PARTY!

Oliver was our
superintendent

Mason was our
yoga instructor

TREE POSE

Colton was our
exercise leader

TOE TOUCHES

This one is trickier than it sounds

I ask the children to stand up tall
raise one hand
cross over your body to touch the opposite toe
then stand up tall and
do the other hand....
some have hard time standing all the way back up
They just want to stay
bent and touch their toes

But once I demonstrated ... the children
did much better!

Between Toe Touches and ALL the exercise
in teh commons... we may have
worn the children out today!

PRAYER REQUESTS

Give me a hug, bug!
